Pauline M. Hynd

The first studio album of Pauline M. Hynd's original songs was recorded by Pauline and Stephen Lee over the period of 2019-2020. At that time Pauline and Stephen recorded the main instrumental and vocal pieces for 10 original songs, the tracks were finished just as lockdown arrived in March 2020.

With the unexpected and sad passing of Pauline in July 2021, Stephen Lee and Chris Kidd began a long process of mixing and producing the tracks in the studio. Since Pauline had recorded her vocals before lockdown, the two were able to layer Pauline's voice into the production and finalise the tracks.

Stephen says:

The finished result is a testament to the beautiful songs she has crafted and I feel blessed to have been a part of the album. Thank you to everyone who was involved and bless her beautiful BIG heart.

Big love ❤️ SL

The launch of Pauline’s first studio album my mother is really out there travelling in the light takes its title from the album track When the Kingdom Comes , which includes a voice-over by Rickie Lee Jones musing about collective action, mortality and connection, themes that run deep in Pauline’s writing.
